Tenant rights and obligations
You should ALWAYS pay your rent on time and in full. Landlords are able to use expedited procedures to evict tenants who are not current on their rent.
* BCHA does not provide legal advice. We strongly encourage tenants to contact a qualified Idaho Landlord/Tenant attorney immediately upon receipt of an eviction notice, summons or other complaint from a process server or attorney's office.
The Idaho Attorney General's "Landlord and Tenant Guidelines" contains a wealth of information including information on leases, pre-rental and move-in, move-out checklists.
Idaho Legal Aid has published this advice for Idaho renters. This document includes information about foreclosure, a tenant's rights after a trustee's sale and "cash for keys" deals.
