Listed below are several local and state resources.  If you cannot find the information you need, contact our office.

Community Resources

  • The Hunger Coalition: Provides healthy, nutritious food for you and your family, including your pets- free and anonymous.
  • The Advocates: 24 hour shelter & services for victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their children.
  • Crisis Hotline: A 24/7 confidential crisis intervention service providing information and referrals. 
  • Mountain Rides: Provides public transportation solutions (bus, bike, carpool, etc.) for all who visit, live or work in the Sun Valley area of Idaho.
  • Idaho Legal Aid Services : A non-profit Idaho law firm and community education organization
  • 211 Idaho Care Line: A free statewide community Information and Referral service including programs that offer free or low cost health and human services or social services such as rental assistance, energy assistance, medical assistance, food and clothing, child care resources, emergency shelter and more.
  • Utility Assistance: If you need assistance with paying your utility bill, HUD has compiled a list of organizations that may be able to assist you.

Housing Organizations Outside of Blaine County:

  • Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) - Idaho Housing is a uniquely created and organized financial institution and administrator of affordable housing resources.  They provide all Idaho housing related information from rental assistance and Section 8 to a referral center and fair housing.  Call them toll free at 1.866.234.3435

  • Housing Idaho - A branch of IHFA, Housing Idaho offers comprehensive lists of available rentals in Idaho regions as well as resources for affordable housing

  • NeighborWorks - Is an organization that cares deeply about affordable housing and community development and the people who benefit from them. Their safety and wellbeing is why we come to work in the morning and why we put in long hours and years of service. 

  • Finally Home! Homebuyer Course - The Finally Home! program serves low-and-moderate income, prospective homebuyers through the state of Idaho who are generally purchasing their first home.  The Finally Home! Online course now offers homebuyers in differing states the ability to take a comprehensive education program.
